well, branyan has a lot of red flags.
so i can perhaps condone not acquiring him. but he sure was cheap for the mariners to get. if they’re still serious in a month, they better have acquired something because they’ve had – and apparently passed on – quite a few opportunities, starting in the offseason and continuing on.
Well, I wasn't one who clamored for Thome's re-signing,
but with Vlad’s season, amongst others, there were a lot of cheap, experienced bats out there. And from what is being said, there are lots of them available now, or by the ASB.
