I know this isnt a Nationals and believe me i'm as die-hard a fan of White Sox as one can be, but i just came back from the best pitching performance I have ever seen. My employer has me out here in DC and gave me a ticket to today's game a while ago. Little did i know it would turned out to be THE PITCHING DEBUT of one Mr. Strasburg.

7 inns - 4 H - 2 ER - 14 Ks - 65 strikes in 94 pitches

I feel stupid about boasting regarding a guy we might be facing next week (unless my calculation is off) but this kid is FOR REAL. 14 strikeouts, including the last 7 batters he faced. He was throwing 97 to 99 mph in the 7th inning. He sets you up for 2 strikes on fastballs and then drops the off-speed stuff for the punchout. A true 12-6 curveball, and a fastball upwards of 97mph, I know this was the Pirates but we're looking at one of the most promising pitcher since Mark Prior (sorry i had to bring him up!)
