that doesn't help todays loss feel any better does it?
Damn, I would’ve liked to add a bat today.
It seems like other clubs tried to put the AL Central clubs over the barrel since they are in such a tight divisional race. Especially that prick over in Washington. I’m glad the Sox didn’t over pay like the Twins did to get a deal done with them.
Sure would have liked a bat though… Maybe we can add a guy off waivers again this season. Hopefully that wont be too late.
SSS has been able to get a lot of value out of him, but I imagine other sites look at his age and the some of the garbage he’s typing and think that he could be one terrible mistyped post from hanging them up.

It's shaping up to look like another Game 163
My big hope, and it is just a hope, is that Teahen takes all of Kotsay’s playing time, so against righties Teahen (at DH) and Vizquel both start; we have enough right-handed hitters to face lefties as it is. Teahen has got to be an offensive upgrade, and if we can keep him away from 3B we’ll be better off. He just isn’t an everyday-worthy player with his atrocious defense, and his extension is of course an albatross. That being said, at this point I’d be glad to have him back if Ozzie uses him properly.

Minnesota holds 6-3 series lead which would decide host
of 163 if necessary.
Also, I agree Teahen will be an upgrade against rhp, but I also think Castro needs to go from 1 to 2 starts per week as he has the hot bat and AJ continues to struggle.

i was looking at the 2 schedules last week
And August is when the Sox need to create some distance over the Twins. Sept schedule favors the Twins.

.500 ball the rest of the way gets you 88 wins
Sounds about right. You’ll need a strong stomach the rest of the season, I expect a lot of one step forward, one step back.
I am become q, fragile headcase
Boston is not hard.
Lots of injuries. I’d rate them “medium” at this point. Detroit should’ve swept them this weekend and would’ve if they had a bullpen. And Detroit sucks.
Its sort of a chess match right now but some upgrades are still possible with very little cost except money.

did you consider that by late September ellsbury and Pedroia will have returned?

you needed to ask that?
something tells me even the mafia wouldn't call on greg walker if a hit was needed.

Why yes.
Yes, I did. BOS fans describe Ellsbury as a “clubhouse cancer”. Pedroia might not come back as strong. Papi is on fire right now and will regress. Their pitching is OK. JP is getting lit up.
You watch. Medium.

outside of the alds
we never seem to play well against boston
This is like having Marshall Faulk on your fantasy football team in 2000 and screwing up the rest of your draft to finish 7th.

Split with Boston last year
Hopefully….hopefully…hopefully….by the time we get to Fenway the Yankees and Rays will have taken care of the AL East/Wild Card, and Boston is playing out the string.
Theain is the guy I Just can’t stand! pierre is almost as bad,he dose get on base more. If Quntin gets any worse trade him. WE NEED HELP!
and this.
