PrintAt noon today Comcast Sports Net is showing the White Sox game from July 2nd, 2003 vs the Twins in honor of Frank Thomas.
This game features A.J. the Twin Pierzynski, Johan Santana in relief, two Alomars, Magglio Ordonez, El Caballo, and the White Sox shut down bullpen of Rick White, Damaso Marte, Tom Gordon and Billy Koch. Kyle Lohse started for the Twins against Danny Wright.
Spoiler alert-
The Big Hurt homered twice to lead the Sox back to a .500 record at 42-42.

Favorite Teams for me
1977, 1990, 1994, 1993, 2005, 1983, 2008, 2006, 2003, 2000.
I put ’03 and ’00 low because I only followed them via the papers because I had moved away from Chicago by then and did not yet have access to unlimited baseball via internet and satellite that I have had since 2005. For me, 1994 remains the biggest disappointment. That team was damn good (but so were the Indians) but it was all taken away.
2000 was awesome.
they came out of nowhere to be good. i liked JB and Mike Sirotka a lot…. and the offense were just killers. too bad they shit their pants in the playoffs.

I really wish I had been able to see more of that team
because I liked 1977 and 1990 so much because they came out of nowhere. I think I only saw 2 or 3 games all year and remember racing home to watch the first playoff game on television, and well, we all know how that turned out.
