At some point, given injuries, the Twins HAVE to hit a wall. It’s not a matter of it, but when. Fuentes, Rauch and Capps are all bad at baseball. All of them.
Everyone in that lineup (except Young) is hurt in some regard. Their starters are all twitchey. It HAS to catch up to them soon. That’s all the positivity I can muster, at the moment.

But failing to take advantage of the August schedule and failure to beat the Twins head to head is just too much to overcome. I hope they finish strong and get to about 25 over .500 but the Twins are winning this division.

Twins starting pitching is built for the regular season
They have no shutdown ace or even a few guys who you think could shutdown a good lineup for 5 innings. Playoff at bats are a lot more intense than the other 162 games. Guys don’t give them away like “cough-cough” AJ does in the middle of the year.

Guy gave me his autograph when I was twelve
had just moved to Detroit (shudders) and waited near the team bus after the game with all the players’ baseball cards. Frank Thomas gave me the cold shoulder, Hawk Harrelson seemed like the biggest prick in the world.
Got rid of the card a few years ago, stupid shit like autographs and jerseys are for kids. Still have much love for Lance though.
