Highlights from SoxFest's second day
For those keeping track of SoxFest on Twitter, the bulletins came early and often on the second day, due in large part to the Kenny Williams/Ozzie Guillen Q&A session. If you weren't on Twitter on Saturday or want nothing to do with it, here are the highlights of the day.
(Note: I put this together with Storify, so brace for some scrolling after the jump.)
And away we go.

Fantastic.
Thanks to all for your posts. I may have to make a special trip in next year.

No real point in me doing a write-up, pretty much got it all.
I’m just not cool enough to have a twitter, so I can’t play in the reindeer games.

Adam Dunn is correct.
Marty Brenneman is a douche. As is his son.
Thanks Jim
For putting all these together. One thing that caught my eye was Ozzie’s decision to play the regulars near full time at the end of spring training. That poor start last year left a season long bad taste with me.
Our manager wears 13, we were supposedly cursed, and we wear black. Let's play.
Oh, and Minnie Minoso!!
Cool!

Time to worry? This from the Merkin Man:
Morel’s arrival as the third-base starter couldn’t be guaranteed by Guillen this weekend. The 23-year-old considers himself nothing more than a candidate for the job, while a stronger-looking and healthy Mark Teahen believes the competition is open.
I feel this general distrust when it comes to roster decisions ever since Mike MacDougal cracked the opening day roster in ’09.
"And he rips one into left! Konerko, grand slam!" —Joe Buck, 23 Oct 2005. Yes, I have had the date wrong for this long.
I wouldn't use MacDougal as an example of anything
He was out of options and had no trade value. Giving him one more shot was probably the most prudent way to go.

his last 4 appearances or so were good

No reason to not give Teahen a chance.
He has been a decent major league player before in his career. Morel may be a complete bust with the bat for all we know. We’re paying Teahen the money, might as well see if he can’t make himself useful. If nothing else it could build up his trade value and Morel can take over mid-season.
If your worst case scenario is the guy you’re paying a fair amount of money earns a starting job and plays well enough to keep it, I think things will work out OK.

i said this once and i will say it again
Teahen is a liability and does not deserve a chance to be the third basemen. looking at him playing makes me cry. Why not give Morel a chance?
