The needle ain't skip, the record jerk cuz y'all be rumping too hard!
Now that my flu is good and gone, I am back on the booze and wanting to talk a little about my only addiction other than caffeine: Sour Ale.
This stuff is the nectar of the gods for anyone who craves sour flavors and likes beer. I'm going to keep this relatively brief today for a lack of time, but I have been hunting down sours all over Western Washington since my buddy got me hooked, and I've been trying all the varieties that I can find in bottles and on tap.
My favorite that I've tried so far, is Supplication by Russian River Brewing in CA.
This beer is not for wussies nor casual fans of sour. And in the same way that I'm thrilled to usually be the only one digging on the black jelly beans, I am somewhat pleased if a friend can't finish their glass because I will swoop in with a smile and take it off their hands.

New Belgium makes a sour brown ale called La Folie, which is also pretty dang good and possibly more distributed in the Midwest.
I've been able to get my growler filled with the La Folie for $20; whereas a 12.6-oz bottle of Supplication runs me $13 at the only nearby QFC that I've found supplying it. At that price, I may as well be addicted to crack.
Anyone else hot for sour?
