With five days left until the start of the regular season, the South Side Sox Brain Trust is plotting out how to best manage the flow of news and analysis when the games count.

It will be a transition in a number of ways. I'm used to the more bucolic one-horse town of Sox Machine - one recap at night, one post for the morning, repeat. With the go-go pace of South Side Sox, I'm no longer the only one writing. Plus, there is a much greater volume of discussion that needs to be channeled over the course of a day.

And on top of that, the SB Nation editors have their own suggestions and initiatives for the new season. All of them make sense on paper, but given that it adds to the load, I want to do my best to make the best use of your time and this space.
