Season to be decided by June 13 ???

Of course the season won't be decided by June 13, but I was successful in getting you to read the post, wasn't I?

Anyway, here's my question: Where will we be on June 13? June 13 is the end of our next homestand. Before we get to that point, we have a schedule that gives us no breaks and a chance to really prove ourselves to the rest of the league (and our division). In looking ahead, if the rotations and schedules for our future opponents do not change (no more rainouts!), we won't get many favors in terms of the SP's we will be facing (actually, rainouts please!) and the venues in which we'll be playing on the road.

We'll face:

Ogando, Holland and Wilson in Texas (sure, the Rangers usually give us trouble no matter what, and not that I'm dying to face Harrison and Lewis again, but ...). Oh, and they get Hamilton and Cruz back on Monday.

The one guy I was hoping to avoid in Toronto is Ricky Romero, but we don't. Romero is very tough at home.

Lester in Boston (and likely their relievers-turned-starters Aceves and Wakefield). Maybe they'll make some sort of call-up before then.

When we come home...

Verlander will most likely be toeing the rubber in the 2nd game of this important series. We'll also see Brad Penny again (let's get more than one hit this time, please)

Not only are we scheduled to see King Felix when the M's come in, but also Michael Pineda. I would have liked to avoid at least one of those guys.

And we are not scheduled to miss Anderson or Cahill when the A's come in. Of course, we did just hand Cahill his first loss.

I would be very pleased if we're back at .500 on June 13, but will we be? And how many games behind Cleveland will we be at this point?

If you were discouraged by some of those matchups, check out who the Indians are playing over the course of this time frame:

vs Boston

at Tampa

at Toronto

vs Texas

vs Minnesota

at Yankees

They don't have it any easier than we do, so where will we be when June 13 rolls around? Where should we be in order to feel good? Looking forward to your opinions.

We have 13 games remaining with Cleveland, all after the All-Star break.
