MISERABLE
Ok, this is my official first post on SSS, so I'm going to address something that has been bugging me quite a bit lately: WE CAN'T HIT WITH A RUNNER ON FIRST!!!
Pierre has been better than Rios in grounding into double plays, with one in 9% of his ground balls. Before you pull out your laptops and go to Baseball America, you've got to remember that Pierre leads off, so most of his at-bats come with the bases empty, but still, he has been terrible. He has only been woth % -0.3 WAR this year.
We need production. Our lack of hitting after a solid single is what will kill us in the future. Until Ozzie quits his little love affair with Pierre's awful bunting and baserunning and actually moves him to the ninth slot where he belongs, this offense will not produce many runs.

I know a way to fix this.
With a runner on 1st and fewer than 2 outs… bunt!

Wait, I'm confused.
Are we benching Pierre or moving him to the ninth spot in the lineup?
Also, Brent Morel and his .316 OBP over the last four weeks object to your assertion that Pierre always hits with the bases empty.

how am i to have read this and not already pulled out the laptop?

I love seasons too. That's why I live in a place that skips the shitty ones.
ramirez has been bad with a man on first to be honest.
isnt he one of the league leaders in double plays? i believe that to be true but i’m too tired to look it up.
Kenwo4life=ratings. Just call me Mr. USA Today.
Perhaps that's because Ozzie keeps making him foul off two bunts before letting him hit
Hard to make an aggressive swing when you are forced to hit 0-2 all the time
he has hit one in 19% of grounders, but pierre cant hit more than a single, so he does hae alot of abs with a man on first.

I'm weary of giving Lillibridge an expanded role.
The more he plays, the more he seems to strikeout. He’s pretty good for a while, but seems to falter down the stretch.
If he doesn't hit well, his defense is great.
It’s not like Pierre’s accomplishing anything at the plate. Throw Bridge in as the 8th or 9th hitter until you bring Viciedo up if you want.

i stopped reading at this part:
WE CAN’T HIT WITH A RUNNER ON FIRST!!!
in reality, the white sox have the third highest OPS in major league baseball with a runner on first base, behind only boston and the yankees. (the sox have the second highest batting average in mlb with a man on first at .288, only behind the red sox)

i know where i am. often can't be bothered. sometimes can't resist.
and i literally did not continue reading after the first sentence.

I'm with you.
I read the first sentence and then immediately scrolled down to see the comments flaming this premise.
