Four days to blow up the team

How many moves will KW make between now and Sunday?

(Of course, many of these players will be available via the waiver wire next month, as Contreras and Thome were a couple of years ago.)

I want Brett Gardner from the Yankees

How about Thornton + Danks for Montero or Pitching Prospect and Gardner. I love rosterbation.

how do you think about this one....

FoxSports guys reporting CWS close to trading Jackson and Teahen to Toronto for Frasor and prospect. Also, that Danks and Floyd available.

by roligan on Jul 27, 2011 10:14 AM CDT reply actions

Danks/Floyd

If we trade one of those guys in addition to Jackson, the White Flag is being waved.

I think they want to see what teams will offer. If they’re blown away, maybe they take it.

Rumors go from us getting Rasmus for EJax/Teahen to Frasor, prospect and cash? Big difference.

Thornton

And yea he was rumored to be in that previous deal too for Rasmus.

Rasmus

If the Sox are going to let Rasmus get to Toronto in a three team deal, they must not really want him.

that would be stupid if kw wants frasor over rasmus

Don’t think it’s WANT. If they are going to do that deal with Toronto, then I think more salary will be slashed w/o much immediate compensation. Any other deals will be prospects only…I’d guess at least.

Frasor is a bum. 33 yrs old. I don’t care what he’s doing this year. Not a great track record.

if the cards get nothing significantly more than ejax from the jays for rasmus

then, i would take that to mean that kw doesn’t want rasmus to infect the sox clubhouse

I don’t think this trade makes us a better team….although having De Aza instead of Rios definitely is an upgrade.
