Why, Kenny?

Why does Kenny Williams want young pitching when we already have a solid young rotation? Danks. Floyd. Peavy. Buehrle. Humber. Plus Zach Stewart waiting in the wings and Chris Sale if need be? What we really need is offense!

Star-divide

In the Major Leagues, we are 22nd in runs scored with 409, 16th in BA with .251, 13th in OBP with .318, and 21st in slugging with a .382 SA. Those stats are average if not below it. I cannot understand why we would trade Quentin, who is second on the team in Hrs (20) and RBI (62). The pitching is doing great. Entering Friday they have the second-best team ERA in July. (2.97!) On the season, they are tenth in the Majors with a 3.66 ERA, 9th in quality starts with 61, 7th in WHIP with 1.27, and 16th in BAA with .254. Those are VERY good numbers. so... why does kenny want pitching instead of offense?

Trying to score runs with Juan Pierre as your leadoff hitter is like trying to suture a wound in a moving car. You might still be successful -- but why make it so hard on yourself?

oh ok nvm

Jerry Owens is on the poll

So fast he could hit a ball up the middle and it would hit him in the ass sliding into second.

This is one of those rare polls where I honestly think Jerry Owens is the correct answer.

SSS community, you done good here.

Ok, I agree that JO should be in every poll.

But you have to make it make sense. I think a better poll option should’ve been ‘Because he’s going to pick up Jerry Owens’.

Perhaps...

he didn’t trade for a position player because he’s afraid of acquiring jerry owens in disguise.
