Sigh.

Trying to score runs with Juan Pierre as your leadoff hitter is like trying to suture a wound in a moving car. You might still be successful -- but why make it so hard on yourself?

“Right now we have a couple of games to decide what’s going on, but nothing was resolved,” Guillen said. “I told him I don’t like to come here with the same contract I have for next year. The lede is pretty definitive.
Chicago White Sox manager Ozzie Guillen gathered his players before Monday’s game against the Toronto Blue Jays and told them that it would be his final one, according to sources close to the situation.

Just saying that its really odd to do it tonight. I am not going to go through twitter, but not all tweets are reporting it as a done deal. Many are still using Levine’s source as their well…. source. Obviously the Chicago Suns Time are basing their reports on Cowley.

The Sox are apparently not willing to do that, with good reason. He is being fired from his managing position with the White Sox. He still has one year of a contract left, but is being told he will not be coming back. That is getting fired to me.

And it looks like the Sox are not willing to do so. They are also willing to let him break that contract, as long as the Marlins give us something. I am enjoying it because they will be a bigger disappointment than the White Sox

Which is very hard to do, but they are doing it. I don’t really like the Rays, but I like them more than Boston. I was glad the Red Sox won in 04, but I had no idea they would become Yankees number 2. I also had no idea that many Cubs fans were adopting them as their “AL Team”

You gotta like the Rays

The Cards and Rockies are my two NL teams, so both BoSox rings ticked me off to no end.

I want the Rays to pass them so badly in lieu of the White Sox going nowhere. At least we aren’t the Twins: first to last and the star player a sickly wreck this year.

Our manager wears 13, we were supposedly cursed, and we wear black. Let's play.

I didn't advocate for it though

I said “If he stays in the Pen”. That means that I realize the choice is not mine, but if he stays there I want him to have a shot at closing. So basically if a certain situation occurs, I want a certain action taken.

Also, I never said I want him to close, only that I want him to have a shot at it. Santos hasn’t been bad this year by any means. I just think that Sale might be better.

So do I, I think he has the potential to be a very very good starter

Why wouldn’t you want to give a shot at closing to Sale though. Again if he is in the Pen. Put Santos in the setup role. When Santos is off, he feels like he is really really off. Case in point right now.

A change will be good for Chicago. It needs a new skipper with perhaps a more objective assessment of the current personnel, or at least one who isn’t willing to give Pierre 700 plate appearances.
