Both players were known to be great offensive first basemen and for two men to be born on the same day its very fitting that Thomas and Bagwell had similar numbers.

I'm working with a 100+ degree fever so I would like to see if this sparks a debate on who is actually better: Thomas or Bagwell? I'm sure the argument is going to be heavily on one side, but perhaps someone can play devils advocate and explain why consistently that Bagwell is considered to be better than Thomas.
