FOX to increase Primetime presence, blackouts
We've learned more information today, and this isn't going to please people who hate the MLB blackout rules.
During the primetime schedule, [including 10 straight weeks between May and July] all games scheduled between 7 and 10 PM EST will air on FOX locally and be unavailable to watch on MLB Extra Innings or MLB.tv. Normally, FOX blackouts only take out three afternoon games at a time. During the primetime periods, the blackouts will take out five or six games at a time.

you'd hafta think they'll quit that in the next few years.
unless fox is offering more money than they could ever make from mlb.tv.
the fox contract runs through 2013
hopefully now that mlb.tv is a much stronger product than in 2006 they can leverage away the national blackouts.

i kind of doubt that
The white Sox aren’t going to be the game they show over the Angels/Rangers vs just about anybody out west.
national games broadcast in different regions are terribly innaccurate
or atleast they were when i lived out of state.
many a disappointing saturday.

the listed games were merely suggestions
with the program directors having final say as to what was saw in their market
unless i'm missing something larry is saying the sox adjusted to fox saturday night blackouts by scheduling
a shit load of day games on saturday.
Kenwo4life=ratings. Just call me Mr. USA Today.
and nearly all of them are on WGN
which she should be able to see on tv

my understanding is the white sox prefer to host day games on saturdays in may/june. so this maybe just provided additional impetus for that. in any event, an out of towner will be able to see more white sox games this season, though a part of that is that the white sox aren’t exactly an attractive game right now, either. and if one is in seattle, one of the national games is against the mariners and another is against the cubs on a day without a yankees-mets or dodgers-angels so there’s a decent chance that will be the “national” game.
FUCK FOX
Everytime time the Sox are on Fox here in KC, Fox chooses to show the Yankees or some other team and Im pretty sure thats a local affiliate decision…I have no clue why they wouldnt show a divisional opponent other that KC’ers are on Yankees and Cubs nutz too

heh, larry's right: the sox look to suck so bad fox doesn't want the broadcasts.
sort for saturdays: http://chicago.whitesox.mlb.com/schedule/sortable.jsp?c_id=cws&year=2012
that being said, fuck fox and their motherfucking blackouts. baseball games don’t get ‘flexed’ like in football if one team is suddenly not awful and makes for a good tv matchup, right?

We're all here because we're not all there.

urm
I was referring to not getting blacked out and still rooting for a winning team…oh
It came from afar and traveled sedately on, a shrug of eternity
well that's why i was asking about schedule flexing
if there isn’t, then the fix is in and i can root for a winning team, knowing only a few saturdays in may are fucked with.
