WSJ Rates the Offseason Moves
24. WHITE SOX (-3.9) Key Acquisition: OF Kosuke Fukudome (0.8) Key Loss: SP Mark Buehrle (2.6) Outlook: There is a school of thought that sending manager Ozzie Guillen to Miami was addition by subtraction.
(Hey, they nicked Fangraphs. MSM getting cozy with Saber stuff.)

I realize it's just a super lazy article
But: 30. CARDINALS (-8.5) Key Acquisition: OF Carlos Beltran (3.6) Key Loss: 1B Albert Pujols (6.8), RP Octavio Dotel (1.0) Outlook: Lance Berkman moves to first and Allen Craig shifts to the outfield with Beltran, a big defensive upgrade. They’ll miss Pujols, but with starter Adam Wainwright returning, they should remain formidable.
Last? Sure no Pujols, but all things considered they avoided an eventual albatross in him or Prince Fielder and picked up Beltran, who barring injury looks to be one of the best offseason pickups.

Humorously enough
I was trying to avoid sounding redundant by saying “acquisition” and wound up saying pickup twice in the same sentence instead. Cursed no edit function shakes fist
