BMO 2032: the humans fight back

In 2031 the Cincinnati Reds won the World Series, which would be unremarkable except the Reds are a computer-controlled team. It was the first victory for Skynet in ages ... has the balance of power shifted away from the human teams? Have we grown fat and lazy in the DH league?

Skynet's resurgence might be a temporary effect of the big move from the NL to the AL. Farm system, scouting and medical ratings of our new teams are slowly improving. Fan Loyalty and attendance have been slower to improve. Maybe it will just take time until we can safely kick the NL's butt every year. Or maybe we should simply blame Tampa Bay for losing to the Reds.

As the 2032 season is about to get underway, some excellent free agent talent still hasn't signed. Kevin Condon is an elite 1B and he can be signed for less than $6 million. Yet not a single bid. RF Mike Stanley is still out there too.

My KC Monarchs are loaded for bear. We had some roster turnover from our 111-win team last season, but newcomers like 2B Andy Smith, CF Jairo Gagnon, and C Kasey Maynard are upgrades. DH Grant Troy might be too young to have a great year, but he's going to be a very good one. Looking forward to a fun race.
