This week:

• The White Sox sent INF/OF Tyler Kuhn to the Diamondbacks for the ubiquitous Cash Considerations. Kuhn sent some hearts aflutter with a .333/388/.446 performance between Birmingham and Charlotte last year. Of course, that was facilitated by a .385 BABIP. This season, with a basically normal BABIP of .311, he batted a rather empty .273/.309/.384. I was dismissive of the Kuhniacs but it will be sad to see them go. I'm sure they'll latch onto another non-prospect soon enough. The smart money is on Brady Shoemaker.
• OF Brandon Short returned to game action with Winston-Salem. He dislocated his left shoulder, resulting in a torn labrum, early in spring training. It was expected that he would miss the entire minor league season but he's made it back with a month to play. The goal at this point will be to get him plate appearances but, for a guy who has already graduated to Double-A, he'll certainly be looking to at least return to that level before the end of the season.
• CF Keenyn Walker: .299/.385/.448 and 11 for 13 in stolen bases in 17 games since being promoted to Winston-Salem.
