So I'm digitizing a few old VHS tapes before the ability to do so goes completely away and we all have one more thing to regret, and one of those tapes has the complete 1986 White Sox/Cubs Busch Crosstown Classic on it, along with an episode of Tom & Jerry and an episode of Belle and Sebastian. If you would like to just see the game -- featuring such stars as Harold Baines, White Sox General Manager Hawk Harrelson, NotThatJoeCowleyButTheOtherJoeCowley, old commercials and Steve Stone with an old-timey radio voice -- I uploaded a poor-quality version here:

Again, the quality isn't great -- VCR encode of a 27-year-old tape plus shrinking it from 6 GB to an upload-friendly 700 MB will do that -- but you can see and hear everything. Stay tuned after the game for an interview with Ron Kittle and some special footage of what used to pass for Cable Programming Guides back in 1986. I'm not gonna leave it up forever because I'll eventually need the space back, so act quickly or have this to regret as well.
