So the Blackhawks visit Denver 3 days ago and take on the Avs. The Avs have lost 3 straight, the Hawks got a strong win before hitting the road trip.
Well, for those who don't know they Hawks had possibly their worst game of the season. A 5-1 blasting. The game was over 10 minutes after it started when the Avs went up 3-0. The Hawks put the pressure on in the 2nd period but to no avail. Saad finally slipped a nice shot home in the 3rd but it was too little too late. And I was there to see it all.
Then last night the Bulls come to Denver on their version of the big road trip and take on the Nuggets. The Nuggets. The Bulls proceeded to lose by 10, but I was on the way home when it ended. I don't think the Bulls ever even had a lead in the game. They were down by 2 at the half and tied it up, but then the Nuggets just started shooting lights-out. When you consider the Bulls can barely shoot, that's not good. The Nuggets ran up a 21 point lead at one stage. And I was there to see it.
In both cases it was distressing to see the Chicago teams quit in the last period/quarter. The Bulls meltdown was worse with several T's and an ejection.
2 years ago the Bears visited Denver and played the Broncos. Even with Cutler hurt and Caleb Hanie playing, the Bears had a lead and were in a position to win the game. A fumble and a field goal by the Broncos as regulation ended put it into OT, and the Bears ended up losing.
So 3 games, 3 losses.
Each game has tons of Chicago fans decked out in the visiting team's colors only to be handed a humiliating loss.
Now the White Sox come to Denver in April 2014.
Should I go? If I go, do I run the risk of another humiliating loss?
OK, I'll probably go.But I hope it works out better. I'm getting sick of this losing stuff.
