I can't figure out if I've forgotten how to write or if I've simply eaten too much macncheese today and rather than neurotransmitters, my brain is firing a fluorescent orange saucy goodness that kinda sticks to the end of the nerves until other nerve endings lick 'em clean and thereby eventually receive the messages. Oof. A day at home sick and delirious and cheesy and the whole time wishing I had it in me to throw on a frock and frolic. Oh, Monday not at work! Such a cruel mistress! I didn't even take advantage of the opportunity to take advantage of myself!
Therefore, I won't say much here in hopes of resting and nesting in my early cheesy slumber. I hope a new thread is a welcome sight at least.
- Now that Superbowl's over, it's officially Oscar season. Which means jack shit in the grand scheme of things and cow dung in the minor schemes of nothings as well. Regardless, did anyone else notice that Bradley Cooper (of The Hangover dudebro fame) is nominated in the leading actor category? I have a minor interest in seeing Silver Lining Playbook, don't get me wrong. I simply had no idea it was so acclaimed, nor that dudebro gave such a wicked performance. Who saw it and can confirm?
- Of course when I said it was Oscar season, I meant as far as overhyped celebrity spectacles go. The rest of us know that Ps and Cs report in about a week. The rest of us are eyeballing airfare to Arizona and at the very least, taking off work on April 1st (a convenient enough excuse to have a celebratory 3-day weekend, Sox fans). Anyone catching some Spring Training games this year? Or any general advice for planning a ST trip?
- Speaking of airfare, for less than the cost of a plane ticket home, I bought a Chromebook (the Samsung ed.); and thus far, I'm digging on it quite a bit. Super light and compact, no fan, completely silent, comfy and logical keyboard, long battery life, sleek and simple design and desktop. I’m delighted to live on a cloud and let Google apps guide my experience. Anybody have thoughts on these web-based badboys - or others?
