The wife just came into the living room and grabbed the '83 Sox fleece blanket that was the giveaway on the 12th. She flung it over her back, said "now I have a cape" and then went back into the other room. Maybe she's just cold and too lazy to go down to closet were we keep our extra blankets, But it wouldn't be entirely surprising if she's hitting the sauce already. It's Spring break for CPS and I'd imagine many of the employees are drinking heavily given the (continuing) Winter and what they've had to deal with given all the stir crazy kids.
As far as not being able to get outa the house to do stuff, I was MIGHTY pissed off about that whole snowing during blood moon eclipse. Set my alarm and got up, looked out the window and just went right back to bed. WHEN WILL THIS END?!? All thoughts of trying to go camping for a few days have also gone out the window, so we are stuck trying to organize things like board game nights just to say we did something out of the ordinary with the weekday nights that the wife has free.
Amazon had a good sale on board games the other night, so I picked up a copy of Munchkin and a copy of Ticket to Ride. I can't get the wife to play Munchkin (even though it's SO much fun) but we've been playing Ticket to Ride a whole lot. Really simple to learn, lots of different strategies you can employ, many ways to piss her off by playing like a jerk. It's been around for a long time, but still highly recommended. A nice wholesome break from Cards against Humanity which seems to be the standard these days for adult non-bar gatherings.
Since it's still not quite nice enough to go play outside, What are your favorite indoor games? Video, Card, Board, Drinking, whatever.
