Somewhat amazingly, the White Sox haven't been more than 2 games over or 3 games under .500 all season. They've been at .500 19 different times. This confirms what this season has felt like—a back-and-forth of unders and overs, with no real sustained winning or losing streaks. As a result, the Sox have hung with the big boys so far, and a solid month could put them in a decent position to chase a Wild Card. Of course, they could also keep dancing around .500 for the rest of the season, or even fall off, as so many have predicted.
