With all levels of the minors in action, we’re starting to see that post-draft roster churn. Here's what's changed at the four full-season affiliates thus far.
Charlotte Knights
The migration really hasn’t hit Charlotte, although that’s partially because they received a couple players ahead of schedule — Nicky Delmonico and Brian Clark. Tyler Danish is also new to Triple-A, coming the other way from Chicago. Jacob May is also off the DL, and Slade Heathcott is ticketed for the Knights once he gets some rehab games under him.
Birmingham Barons
After leading all of the minors in strikeouts at Winston-Salem, Matt Cooper made his Birmingham debut on Saturday by throwing three scoreless innings out of the bullpen in an extra-innings victory.
Winston-Salem Dash
The Dash will benefit from both of the White Sox’ 2016 first-rounders. Zack Burdi made his debut on Friday, and Zach Collins will join him shortly.
Kannapolis Intimidators
The Intimidators are seeing the most action so far. Their pitching staff added 11th-round pick Ian Hamilton, while transferring 2015 15th-rounder Chris Comito to Great Falls. Among positin players, they added ninth-round shortstop Max Dutto, and Micker Adolfo rejoined the Intimidators after rehabbing from yet another injury in Arizona.
Sunday’s box scores will appear in the comment shortly.
