Chicago, IL (Sports Network) - Randy Wolf threw his eighth career shutout, guiding Houston to its eighth straight win and a three-game sweep of the Chicago Cubs with a 4-0 triumph Wednesday night. Wolf (9-11) scattered six hits and struck out eight while walking two batters. It was just the second road win (2-7) of the season for the lefty. It was the 12th complete game of Wolf's career and his first since he pitched for the Phillies in a game at Montreal on April 24, 2004. Ty Wigginton clubbed a two-run homer, and Michael Bourn went 3-for-4 and scored once for Houston. Ronny Cedeno had two hits for the Cubs, who have lost a season-high five in a row following a seven-game winning streak. Chicago remained 4 1/2 games ahead of Milwaukee for the lead in the NL Central. Ryan Dempster (15-6) allowed eight hits and three runs over seven innings, fanning seven in the loss.
