Cards' Isringhausen to undergo elbow surgery

St. Louis, MO (Sports Network) - St. Louis Cardinals pitcher Jason Isringhausen, currently on the 15-day disabled list with a right elbow strain, will undergo season-ending surgery next week. The procedure is slated for September 12. The 35-year-old Isringhausen had a 1-5 record with 12 saves and an inflated 5.70 earned run average in 42 games this season for the Cardinals.
