Cubs' DeRosa leaves game

Sports Network | September 24, 2008

Flushing, NY (Sports Network) - Chicago Cubs utilityman Mark DeRosa left Wednesday's bout against the New York Mets with an apparent knee injury.

DeRosa hit a two-run double in the fifth inning for the NL Central-leading Cubs, but was pinch-run for by Kosuke Fukudome after team trainers came out to examine DeRosa's right knee at second.

The 33-year-old also hit a solo home run in the second inning, upping his career-best mark to 21 on the year.
