that article is a joke
kazmir shouldn't sign an extension, either, because 1) unless he thinks his arm is going to fall off, he's going to be worth more and more each year and 2) i wouldn't sign any extension with the rays until i knew they were serious about competing. i think they are but why risk it? kazmir in a few years probably would command upwards of $20MM/year. in other words, the rays payroll last year.
