Who are this year's possible breakout players based on ST stats?

Interesting link from Neyer's blog to an ActaSports article. BA is on the list.

Fantasy Baseball Predictions

For anyone who enjoys fantasy baseball, this list is a must read.  The Talented (or not so talented) Mr. Roto makes a bunch of predictions about the upcoming year.  Some more bold than others...and some just completely insane.

He ends his list with this claim:

Best 1B in the League

Interesting rankings over at ESPN.com by Neyer.  I won't post the entire story (I made that mistake yesterday), but here's a summary.

Ranking the best young 1B in the league by Age (as of July 1, 2008), OBP, SLG and OPS+.

Here's his list:

  1. Pujos (28)
  2. Fielder (24)
  3. Howard (28)
  4. Ortiz
  5. Teixeira (28)
  6. Gonzalez
  7. Pena
  8. Lee (32)
  9. Helton (34)
10.????

Neyer admits to forgetting Morneau.  So, who is the next great 1B?

Entire Baseball America Top 10 Prospects

Few owners in baseball are more loyal than Jerry Reinsdorf. Few general managers are more aggressive than Ken Williams. Those two personalities came to a crossroads in 2007--making it impossible to overlook the deterioration of the White Sox since their World Series victory two years earlier.

[editor's note, by The Cheat] Removed to avoid lawsuit.
