I have been lamenting the slow start to the free-agent season, so it should come as no surprise that I was underwhelmed at the first free agent to switch teams. Our very own, World Series hero, Geoff Blum, who signed a 1-year deal with the Padres last night.
It should come as no surprise that Blum
- wasn't back with the Sox
- ended up back in San Diego
He had just 4 total RBI in his short stay with the Sox. But he will always be remembered in Chicago, and probably Houston, for the game-winning HR in the longest game in World Series history. Thanks Geoff.
