Willie Harris was put on the bereavement list today, leaving room on the roster for an extra player. Jamie Burke is the logical choice because he can play C (where Pierzyski is hurting), 3B (where Crede has a banged up foot), and 1B (where Gload is on the DL).
I don't know the exact details of behind Willie finding himself on the bereavement list, but my thoughts and prayers go out to his family.
By league rules, Harris has to stay on the bereavement list for at least three days.
