John Sickels over at Minor Leage Ball, took a look back at how his Sox Top 20 were performing this season. So I thought I would post my current top 10. (20 would be too much work)
-
Brian Anderson -- OF | Charlotte | AAA
Not great, not terrible. Will be a solid OF for years to come. -
Brandon McCarthy -- RHP | Charlotte | AAA
No reason to let his ML call up effect his status. He's got some work to do, but could be very good -
Chris Young -- OF | Birmingham | AA
Tons and Tons of potential. He is the one prospect I would be most upset trading. -
Gio Gonzalez -- LHP | Winston-Salem | High-A
Great numbers, good curveball. some durability issues. -
Ryan Sweeney -- OF | Birmingham | AA
Power is not an issue with me... Yet. He's young for the Southern league, and I expect him to repeat at least a half-season there next year. -
Ray Liotta -- LHP | Kannapolis | Low-A
He's done nothing but put up good numbers since entering the system -
Tyler Lumsden -- LHP | Winston-Salem | (last season)
great stuff, injury -
Casey Rogowski -- 1B/OF | Birmingham | AA
Promotion to Charlotte might be in order. I'd be interested to see how the Bandbox at Charlotte effect his power numbers -
Sean Tracey -- RHP | Birmingham | AA
Sinkerballer. Good ERA at every stop, poor control. -
Robert Valido -- SS | Winston-Salem | High-A
Just turned 20 (hopefully that's accurate) hitting .313/.360/.429 in the Carolina league. 28/4 SB/CS ratio
