Sox vs. OakTown -- Garland vs. Saarloos

The Sox have just two victories in six tries against the A's. Both wins were on the back of solid outings by Jon Garland. He's allowed just 3 runs on 9 hits in 16 innings pitched against the A's. I say this knowing full well that I'm probably jinxing him.

Saarloos is the type of pitcher who the Sox should crush. He doesn't allow HRs (though that didn't stop Joe Crede last time out) and doesn't strike guys out (though that didn't stop Frank Thomas last time out). His only loss in the past month is at the hands of the Sox.

Let's get to 60 wins before the break. Go Sox.
