White Sox @ Twins -- Garland vs. Baker

And so it begins. Two days ago, Ozzie called a meeting with the veterans, telling them they needed to pick it up down the stretch. They've lost the two games since that meeting. To the Royals.

From here on out, they play nothing but real baseball teams (Twins, Indians, and Tigers). It's time to step it up. The White Sox have developed a reputation recently for folding against the Twins down the stretch. Jon Garland is 0-2 with a 4.82 ERA in the Metrodome in September. (small sample size acknowledged)

Garland is going to need to pitch his ass off tonight. Scott Baker has allowed 3 or fewer runs in each of his starts this season. The Sox have their work cut out for them. If the Sox have any playoff aspirations, it's time to start playing like they mean it.
