A look back at March
The White Sox opened spring training in the Cactus League, and quickly decided against carrying 12 pitchers. We were introduced to Boone Logan, who impressed in his first televised outing.
A trade for Alex Cintron caused me to wonder if Joe Borchard had any trade value. I guess he did have some value, as the Sox traded him for Matt Thorton, who I said you would learn to hate.
Hermanson and Podsednik got injured, which led to almost daily medical updates. Hermanson would be put on the DL, while Boone Logan made the improbable jump from Rookie ball to the majors.
The Sox left Arizona just as Jim Thome was heating up. And the rookies were forced to wear costumes on the flight to Atlanta.
I closed out the month by making some predictions about the upcoming season.
