I expect Brian Anderson and Tadahito Iguchi back in the lineup today against the lefty. A.J. Pierzynski could probably use the day off after the collision with Boone yesterday and Lee on the mound today.
Ozzie gave his typical response to being questioned about his lineup.
"If [Cintron and Mackowiak] don't play, then they would have to wait six or seven days to play,'' Guillen said. "That's not fair for them to sit that long and not get any action."
"The thing I really said was if he has any questions, come ask me," Guillen said. "I told him about my situation. I make the lineup. If he likes it, he likes it. If he doesn't, big deal. I already explained to him why he's not playing. I explained to him that Westbrook is throwing the ball real well, and I think we have a better chance if we go with a lefty hitter."
"He's going to play when I tell him he's playing. Every time I put my lineup in, I put the lineup in that I feel gives us the best chance. I always think about my team before I think about the players. I talked to him, made sure he knew he's not in a backup situation. It's about that ballclub we're playing over there. He's going to rest, and then he'll be back in there."
