Pablo to go on the DL?

[Joe Cowley]

The Sox are expected to make an announcement today on the immediate future of injured utility player Pablo Ozuna. Ozuna has been on the shelf since last week with a strained left hamstring. He tried to play Friday and left the game after his first at-bat. "He's not 100 percent, and we're thinking about [the disabled list],'' Guillen said. If Ozuna goes on the DL, speedy minor-leaguer Jerry Owens is a possibility to replace him.

And Pablo was HOT! But I see 3 righties (pitchers) ahead. Maybe this is a good time.

A talk between utility infielder/outfielder Pablo Ozuna and Guillen took place before Monday's game, with Guillen trying to gauge Ozuna's availability in regard to his strained left hamstring. If Guillen did not receive the health response he wanted from Ozuna, then a back-dated trip to the disabled list is possible in the next day or two. Guillen understands the desire to play for a reserve, especially Ozuna, hitting .432 in 88 at-bats. But Guillen does not want to lose Ozuna for any prolonged period of time by forcing him back in the lineup too soon. If Ozuna is disabled, Guillen said the team would lean toward adding a position player with speed. Outfielders Jerry Owens (.250, 27 steals) and Ryan Sweeney (.290) and third baseman Josh Fields (.332, 12 homers, 16 steals) all would be possible replacements from Triple-A Charlotte.

Who of the three mentioned above would you prefer?
