White Sox realign rotation

With the Jose Contreras pitching on the final day of the first-half, Ozzie has ruled out starting him in the All-Star game Tuesday. This sets up the opportunity to realign the rotation in the second half.

The White Sox open with a 3-game set against the Yankees, and according to Mark Gonzales of the Chicago Tribune, Ozzie will start Contreras in the first game of the second half also, with Buehrle and Garcia rounding out the scheduled starters in NY.

That means that Jon Garland and Javier Vazquez will open the next series against the Detroit Tigers, with Contreras throwing in the final game. Hopefully Garland will continue his trend toward respectability, otherwise, with Kenny Rogers probably starting one of those games thanks to Ozzie giving him the All-Star nod, the Sox could be looking at an 0-2 hole.
