Honestly, I don't even have the energy to write about the White Sox inability to have even a remotely threatening offensive attack against Johan Santana. I'm actually surprised that I didn't bemoan the loss of the series on Friday night. At some point you just become conditioned to expect absolutely nothing whenever 57 is on the mound. It's best for my mental health to just find something else to do.

Like today, I watched the final round of the PGA Championship from just up the road in Medinah. It was refreshing that there was an even bigger 'sure thing' on TV opposite the White Sox inevitable loss at the hands of The Piranhas. I mean, the Sox have actually beaten Santana once this year, and twice in the last 2.5 years. Tiger has nary a loss when he's at least tied at the three-quarter-pole in a major championship. He's literally unbeatable, whereas Johan is unbeatable only figuratively.

So at least we've got that going for us, which is nice.
