Buddy Bell, who compiled a 519-724 (.418 winning %) in 8+ seasons as a manager, will join the White Sox as Minor League Field Coordinator, a position created specifically for Bell.
"Jerry Reinsdorf is a close friend of mine," Bell said, "and that's really the reason I did it."
Yep, that about sums it up.
