Look for former White Sox general manager Ron Schueler to join San Francisco's retooled staff by the end of the year. Most recently, Schueler worked as a professional scout under former general manager Walt Jocketty in St. Louis. But Schueler's association with the Giants dates back at least to 1997, when he and San Francisco executive Dick Tidrow worked on the "White Flag Trade" that sent pitchers Wilson Alvarez, Roberto Hernandez and Danny Darwin to the Giants.
