A missed opportunity

The first thing I realized as I logged on this afternoon was that the opportunity to pull an April Fools Day joke had already passed. Disappointed, I headed to Wikipedia to check out how some other websites celebrated the occasion. The only one that made me laugh outloud was the phrase "Two of your oxen drowned when you tried to ford the river," added to Facebook news feeds. For some reason, I immediately flashed to Peter Pan and Tinkerbell as oxen unable to lead our wagon train across the Santana and Sabathia rivers.

As I filed away that imagery for later use, I fired up my feed reader and headed over to Sox Machine. Imagine my surprise when I found this incredible Oregon Trail spoof that Jim put together. It doesn't feature Peter Pan and Tinkerbell as oxen, but he makes up for it with, well, go see for yourself.
