Say it ain't so 'Los Dedos':
Carlos Marmol is in the process of supplanting six-fingered White Sox prospect Oneli Perez as the closer for powerful Licey. Marmol took the first part of the winter off but is back on the mound in the Dominican Republic, where he has nine strikeouts, no walks and one hit allowed in his last 5 1/3 innings.
Maybe it was Oneli's blown save in Licey's January 4 postseason game. He allowed 3 runs in one-third of an inning in that game. Marmol pitched the last 1.2 innings in Licey's 3-2 win Saturday. Oneli didn't pitch in Saturday's game. UPDATE: Oneli picked up the save in Licey's 4-3 win Sunday.

- Larry gives us this rumor from BP's John Perrotto: "San Francisco would consider trading for White Sox third baseman Joe Crede if they don't re-sign Pedro Feliz, who is drawing interest from Philadelphia." Robothal says the Dodgers, Brewers and Phillies are interested in Feliz. The Brewers interest would be contingent on them trading Bill Hall.
