White Sox Offense Absent in April, Again

The White Sox offense has scored 5 runs in 3 games this season. The only reason we're not talking about a sweep, or 3 blowouts, is that Sox pitching has allowed only 2 run in each of the 3 games.

There comes a point when you have to stop giving credit to opposing pitchers and look in the mirror and say hey, our offense just sucks right now. Kyle Davies, Gil Meche and Zack Greinke pitched well, and we acknowledged that the Royals have a good top of the rotation before the season started. But you simply cannot go an entire series scoring a total of 1 run off the opposing starters.

This Sox offensive struggles are not simply a result of a lack of a leadoff hitter -- though I'm beginning to think that anyone who is penciled into the lineup to leadoff or play center field is destined for an 0-for with a couple of Ks -- The offense has sucked from top to bottom, as is seemingly a White Sox rite of spring. There's got to be a reason we seem to bring up Greg Walker every April, right?
