Sox Streaking, Gavin's Big Hairy Bs On Display For All To See

Shearing the Braves
Shearing the Braves

Today's 2-0 victory over the Braves marks the 9th consecutive win and the 3rd consecutive series sweep for your Chicago White Sox

With no score going into the bottom of the 8th, Konerko lit up the scoreboard with a 2-run blast that sealed the sweep of the Braves.
See? Home runs can win ball games.

Sadly, Gavin doesn't get the win today despite pitching 7 shut-out innings and allowing only 2 hits, 1 walk, and striking out 9!  But who cares about that.  The Sox are streaking and that man is big, hairy, and unleashed - a 0.96 ERA over his last 4 starts.

On a related note, the Twins also lost today, so the Sox are suddenly just 2.5 games out of 1st place.

Pretty incredible when you consider that they were 9.5 back (the furthest they've been all season) a mere 15 days ago!

I don't have time to write much more, but I think we're all feeling the Kool-Aid buzz right now... hard not to, and WHY NOT.  This may only be the NL, but this also may be the climax of our entire season.  So I don't know about you, but I'm going to drink it UP and go beat someone over the head with a bowling pin.
