Due to inclement weather in the Cleveland area (apparently it is snowing), tonight's game against the Indians has been postponed. No makeup date has been set.
Philip Humber, who was tonight's scheduled starter, will now be skipped in the rotation. John Danks will make his regularly scheduled start tomorrow morning.
This will push Humber's first start of the 2012 season back to Monday night in the series opener against the Baltimore Orioles at U.S. Cellular Field.
Tonight's lineup had an interesting look to it. Alejandro De Aza was to get the night off. Replacing him in centerfield was Kosuke Fukudome, in what would have been his first start as a White Sox. Fukudome was to bat fifth. Gordon Beckham was penciled in at lead off with Alex Rios batting behind him.
As U-God pointed out, with Tyler Flowers in the lineup at catcher, this would have marked the earliest point in the season in which a back-up to A.J. Pierzynski made his second start since Toby Hall in 2008 (nine games in).
