In my experience, if you have general baseball knowledge, it takes approximately 1 minute and 8 seconds to make reasonably competent picks. If you actually put some time and effort into it - such as by paying attention when Torii Hunter's son molests someone, resulting in his father going on the restricted list, and thus not picking Hunter for your team - you probably would be quite good at the game.
