In related news, the White Sox purchased the contract of INF Ray Olmedo from Triple-A Charlotte. The switch-hitting infielder last played in the majors with Toronto in 2007 and appeared in 27 games for the Blue Jays that season. He is a career .228/.276/.293 hitter.
