Ronald Belisario officially signed

That took a while, but it finally happened. Belisaro officially joins a slightly more clear 2014 bullpen.

USA TODAY Sports

As originally reported two weeks ago, the White Sox have now officially signed Ronald Belisario to a one year, $3 million deal.  Since that deal was reported, there have been a good deal of changes in the White Sox pitching staff.  He comes to the Sox after being non-tendered by the Dodgers.  He will be eligible for arbitration after 2014 and 2015 and can become a free agent after 2016.

With Addison Reed traded to the Diamondbacks, Belisario's role has become more clearly defined as one of the setup men and could be in the competition for the closer job.

With this move becoming official, the Sox 40-man roster is now at 40.  If the reported signing on Scott Downs becomes official, a corresponding move will be necessary to lower the roster.  As of this moment, outrighting another pitcher would be the most likely move, but Trader Rick's may still be open for business.
