It's a good thing Hector Santiago inspired some faith with his 5⅓ quality innings against the Texas Rangers on Thursday night, because it looks like the White Sox are going to need more of that. The Sox disclosed a loss after the victory, as Gavin Floyd and the Sox revealed that his elbow's turn for the worse is just about a worst-case scenario:
Gavin Floyd has a tear in elbow, he confirms. Will see dr. Altchek Monday in New York. Saw doc here tues. surgery a possibility.

Clarifying Floyd's injury, from White Sox: He has a tear in the flexor muscle in his right elbow and an unstable ulnar collateral ligament.

Barring a miracle, this looks very much like the end of Floyd's White Sox career. So we'll see how Santiago bounces back in five days, and it wouldn't suck if John Danks got crafty in a hurry, too.
